There is a crisp in the air, leaves are falling, and the clocks have turned back. All signs that the holidays are nearing. Here at Flair Designery, we begin by playing christmas jazz and designing our holiday paperie. Every once in a while we get distracted by decorating, shopping and of course, eating. We’ve gathered some of our favorite items that help us prepare and really feel ready for the holidays. What’s your sure sign that the holidays are nearing? How do you prepare for the holidays?
We begin by decorating the home with Stockings and a Simple Lovely Wreath.
This of course must be done while enjoying a Hot Cocoa (this one may be for grown ups).
After decorating, it’s time to relax… can never have enough cozy Blankets.
Next the food & drinks…
Every bar needs some beautiful coasters and a delicious snack, Cinnamon Sugared Almonds.
Of course, it’s not a holiday without a full bar.
Prepare for table decorations. We love these napkin rings, they’re lovely & smell wonderful!
You’ll need to start shopping for that perfect holiday outfit! Abby’s Holiday’s include fun tights & Sorel boots.
Every holiday baker needs a Pie Box & every holiday drinker an Apple Cider Sangria .
Happy Holiday Preparing!
Oh my goodness, how I love Fall. It’s always been my favorite season… even though it nows leads to my least favorite. In Missouri, Summers are too hot, Winters too cold, Spring doesn’t exist and Fall is usually just right. The only thing I hate about it? Less daylight. Otherwise, the best season for fashion begins… big sweaters, layers, scarfs and my all time favorite, boots! & not to mention the food… pumpkin everything, soup, pies and a hot cup of coffee (or tea!). These are just a few of my favorite things, what do you love about Fall?
1. Leggings! Oh how they are comfortable. Current obsession: these super thick Pixie Pants at J. Crew.
2. Homemade soup. Can’t wait to try Barefoot Contessa’s Winter Minestrone with Garlic Bruschetta.
3. Boots… booties, riding boots, snow boots… I LOVE THEM ALL!
4. … More boots.
5. I’ve been a bit reluctant to buy a vest, until I saw this.
6. Fun tights and more boots.
7. I did say pumpkin everything, right? How about Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls… start your day right.
8. Don’t forget the pup… he needs a sweater too! 🙂 I picked this sweater specifically because Fall really is cuddle season.
9. Put on that big comfy sweater & snuggle up on the couch with your pup, hot tea & a book…the perfect lazy Sunday.
10. Last but not least, the leaves changing colors and the lovely smell in the air… is why I love Fall.
