When Mary reached out to me for a special gift for her son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law, I jumped at the chance to work with her again. I have been very fortunate to work with some truly lovely clients in my career and Mary is simply wonderful.

I had the opportunity to meet Connor and Caitlin while they were in town over the holidays to discuss their (pre-covid) upcoming wedding, so I was able to secretly sleuth what they would want out of a monogram if they were to design it for themselves. Little did they know that Mary and I were already in cahoots. Their puppy was an absolute must, simple yet pretty greenery, their monogram in navy —  and the rest was up to me.

Since their puppy was very red in color and a boy, Mary and I agreed it would be fun to add a touch of whimsy with the bow tie and a flowing ribbon. We also wanted something that was fundamentally them, but would also not go out of style. Mary had asked me if we could then take the monogram and put it on china. Thanks to her, the ACD line of custom gold rimmed china was born!

Mary opted for the salad/dessert plates as Connor and Caitlin had already registered for their china. We thought this would be a thoughtful, yet fun addition to their china collection and definitely something they would keep forever.
